Historically a Pre-K class was designed to foster social and play skills while easing children into the school setting. Kindergarten was considered to be foundation of academic skills needed to be successful throughout a student's academic career.
However, today the Pre-Kindergarten class serves both purposes: introduce children to the foundational academic skills needed to have a solid foundation for entering Kindergarten, as well as, foster social development.
This site is a repository of resources accumulated to enhance and reinforce skills needed to be successful not only in Pre-kindergarten but also establish a solid foundation of skills for students entering into Kindergarten.
